Clintons launching New Hampshire campaign blitz

MANCHESTER – 'Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the state, presidential candidates were stirring... trying to create one last impression before the holiday break.
Perhaps the biggest pre-Christmas blitz comes from former First Lady Hillary Clinton, whose campaign pulls out all the stops, including another visit by former President Bill Clinton, the candidate herself on a two-day bus tour, a new holiday television ad and surrogates galore.
Riding a CNN/WMUR New Hampshire primary poll by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center showing the return of her double-digit lead over nearest rival, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, and the endorsements of two of the state's daily newspapers -- Foster's Daily Democrat and the Laconia Citizen -- the campaign planned a four-day frenzy of political activity dubbed the "Working for Change, Working for You" tour.
New Hampshire campaign spokesman Kathleen Strand said by the time the four days are over, President Clinton, Sen. Clinton or supporters will hit all 10 New Hampshire counties.
Former President Clinton kicks off the Working for Change tour today with events in Wolfeboro and Holderness. He appears at events scheduled for 4:15 p.m. at the Wolfeboro Wright Museum, 77 Center St. and at 7:30 p.m. at the Holderness School gymnasium of the Gallop Field House on Chapel Lane.
Sen. Clinton begins another trip to New Hampshire tomorrow with a two-day bus trip around the state, stopping in Concord, Portsmouth, Hampton, Manchester, Milford, Keene and Lebanon.
The tour will continue on Sunday with supporters led by NH for Hillary Co-chair and Speaker of the House Terie Norelli of Portsmouth and Senate President Sylvia Larsen of Concord.
The "grassroots blitz" will visit campaign offices, phone banks and other places where Clinton or supporters can talk with voters, Strand said. There will also be an influx of special guests, she said.
Also this week, the NH for Hillary "Bold Plans for America" policy tour continues today and tomorrow with two of Clinton's senior policy advisers: Neera Tanden, the campaign's policy director, and Brian Deese, senior economic policy adviser.
Tanden will participate in health care roundtables with undecided voters in Manchester. Beginning at 11 a.m., Tanden will meet with members of the Greater Manchester AIDS Project, at 170 Lowell St.; at 12:30 p.m., with representatives of Child Health Services, at 1245 Elm St.; and at 3 p.m., at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences "" Manchester Campus, in Room 209, at its facility at 1260 Elm St.
Tomorrow, Brian Deese will participate in economy, energy and the environment roundtables with undecided voters in Concord and Durham. The events include a meeting with the NH Sierra Club, at noon, at 40 N.Main St., Concord, a meeting at 2:30 p.m. at the University of New Hampshire Office of Sustainability in Room 107 of Nesmith Hall in Durham, and at 3:30 p.m. in Room 405 of McConnell Hall on the Durham campus.

I have to giggle a little when I see uninformed comments like this:
"she talks a good game much like her husband but has little integrity, honesty and most of all real compassion for the average person"
"Little integrity or honesty" in my Webster's is when Dick Cheney told America on Aug. 26, 2002 that he knew where Saddam Hussein's wmd's were located.
Does THAT kind of dishonesty bother you?
Because THAT's the kind of dishonesty that REALLY bothers most of us Americans these days, after almost eight years of Bush/Cheney.
Like her husband? After eight years of President Clinton, 70% of America thought we were going to the right direction.
Under Bush/Cheney -- uh, not so much.
And if you are indeed ignorant to the fact that Hillary Clinton DOES have real compassion for the average person, I highly recommend the new "the hillary i know" website.
I'll bet you've never even been in the same room with Hillary Clinton. Yet you come here and stand in judgement of her character.
imo, that speaks volumes about YOUR character. Go watch a few videos of the people who KNOW Hillary, and then come back and tell us she's not compassionate.
Bush vetoing the S-CHIP and his Bush Republicans rubberstamping every incompetent decision he makes? THAT's having no compassion for real people.
Hillary Rodham Clinton will be The Best President Ever.

Usa will make a big mistake if they won't elect Hillary Clinton. She's the most qualified for the job by far. As a foreign but daily observer and even if Obama is a talented speaker, the ex first Lady is the only one very capable do deal with domestic key issues for Americans, in Washington jungle and abroas as well.
As a Canadian, I was a strong supporter of his husband and there is no doubt in my mind she will do a fantastic work to restore brightness of America at and all around the world.

Interesting two comments from RI & NC, Why would they be reading a NH paper? And, if they don't see that Clinton is a fraud than it really doesn't matter, she will lose nonethelss. Clinton is just WRONG for the USA, plain & simple.

Hillary rocks! She is as unflappable as a British monarch and a cool as a Hitchcock ice-queen. You can throw any question or problem at her, even obsurely sceintific or technical issues, and she'll have something intelligent and thoughtful to say. It's astonishing.
I love Obama's poetry and Edwards passion, but with this mighty fine mess that Bush and the Republicans have gotten us into, we need someone who feasts on the nuts and bolts of governance, policy and deal making. We need another Clinton in the White House, and by George, we've got one handy!

Hillary Clinton is the real deal. Her strength, determination, intelligence, and her desire for change make her the perfect package.
She isn't just talking a good game with a glitzy speech high on big words and short on substance. She is telling us what she is going to do. She is real.
I can't wait to have Hillary Clinton as President. America will be great again.

Who cares?? More and more people are waking up to the reality of what is Hillary Clinton. She has no real solutions, she talks a good game much like her husband but has little integrity, honesty and most of all real compassion for the average person. It is about money, power, influence and greed. She is not the only one but she is one of the leaders of the pack. Do us a favor Hillary and Bill and go away and if we are lucky it will be for good.
The only thing grassroots about this are the ones frozen in the ground. Ask Bill Shaheen how desperate she really is. Oh yeah he quit didn't he?
