While his numbers lag in New Hampshire, the conservative candidate is running strongly in Iowa.

It's kind of sad. I will vote for Gov. Huckabee, although I think on the 'electibility(sp?) factor' he might be weak. I like his principles, values and I think he will start the process to bring respect back into American politics. I may not agree with what he says all the time, but I like the fact he says it, he believes it, and it's not what the pollsters said would play well in nh. He seems to stand by his beliefs and not set them aside for politial reasons.

Plastic politics is how I feel about the rest of the candidates, they take middle ground positions, or no position at all, and fail to answer the hard questions: It is like who can say the most without really saying anything wins.

If the quantity of money raised was the deciding factor, why are we voting? Just nominate the candidate who pocketed the most cash!?
- Timothy Lang, Sanbornton,NH

Lauren, where do you get the very affable Ron Paul as being 'angry'? I could tell you some stories about confrontations with Huckabee that would really make him look like the angry one. This is NH and we meet our candidates many times. I've never seen Dr Paul 'angry'. He's a darling man, and very smart.

He also is a baby doctor and thus 100% PRO-LIFE. Ron Paul is about as wholesome morally as you can get, and even moreso when you consider how many times Huckabee raised taxes and pandered to illegals in Arkansas! Ron has been married for 50 years to the same woman, and comes from a religious family (two brothers are ministers!)

Ron Paul also supports our soliders and vets and has taken in the MOST MONEY from Iraq and military than any other candidate on the GOP side! Did you know this? If Huck is so supportive of the military, where's the beef? I think Lauren needs to do more of her homework. Huckabee's conservatism is an illusion at best.

Check his record on taxes and on anger. I have never seen Dr Paul snap at anyone. And he's made pro-life more of an issue than anyone has.
He is the only true republican in the race....
- Anna, Manchester

Oh, Ron Paul is certifiable. He's nothing but an angry, bitter little man and NOT the kind of person I would want running our country. Huckabee is likable for one, but also believes in good, wholesome morals. He supports our soldiers and will help keep our country safe. Thank God one of the candidates has the guts to make the right-to-life issue so important, regardless of who's toes he might step on. Rudy and Romney are nothing but wafflers on the subject!
- Lauren, Sandown

I agree with Anna.

Neither Hillary or Rudy are real choices.

Both are Liberals and both are repugnant to the Constitution.

IF we want real change in this great country of ours then Ron Paul is our only real hope for a return to Constitutional and American values.

Time for Huck to drop out. I know it's sad, him being a minister and all, but he just isn't that conservative. (See www.taxhikemike.org)

Plus he hasn't raised anything near the $9M that his closest rival, Ron Paul has. Paul is now in third place for $$ and one of the few solvent candidates, the true 'breakout' candidate and the only true conservative that can beat Hillary. He has the indies, L's and some D's behind him too, which would ensure a win. If we get Hillary it's because they wanted us to have her....they don't care if it's her or Rudy...
