By MIKE CULLITY
New Hampshire Union Leader

Last month Everett Lang received eight unexpected expressions of gratitude. They came in handwritten letters addressed to the 67-year-old Vietnam veteran's New Jersey home. And they came from 12- and 13-year-old New Hampshire children he had never met.

It's refreshing to read a "feel good" article from back home. Thank you, Mike Cullity. And THANK YOU to all the veterans out there for continuing to keep us the land of the free and the home of the brave. God bless you.
- Kim Daigle, Kailua-Kona, HI

For lack of a better way to describe...WOW!

Mike Cullity, you do yourself and paper proud, sharing something such as this. Bless those vets, and all vets. And bless Mr Kocsis and the students, faculty and administration of St Joseph Jr High School. All above mentioned do this community, and beyond, proud.

Mr Aramini is quoted as being 'touched' by the gestures of these young students...That senitiment is shared.
He also speaks of being grateful...We all are, sir. Grateful for your service, and sacrifice.

It has been a long time since an article in print caught my attention as much as this did. Made the eyes moist. Also reinforced my faith in this nation, and all it represents.
