Wow. Don't let knowledge of the New Hampshire voting law interfere with your preconceived ideas. Don't find out the difference between domicile and residence, just keep those echoes going in your head. If you hate it, change the law but turn off Fox Noise and try for a little understanding. Get up off your computer chair and try political action. Other people find it refreshing.

No Ben, St Anselm students are NOTE residents here unless they officially change there residency, drivers license auto registration, etc. Why would people pay higher “out of state tuition” if they were NH residents? Out of state students may request an absentee ballot from their hometown. I agree with Ryan, there is a chance that these students could be voting twice and we all know the liberal brainwashing that is standard at these institutions. Many of these young adults grow up to get a job and pay taxes, and then it hits them. Why should I pay into a corrupt system to benefit people that do not work?

Ben - when my three children attended UNH and Keene State they received an absentee ballot from Laconia in order to vote in their hometown.
They were attending a state educational facility for higher learning - not being a resident of that community!
Someone from another state should not be voting for who my State Senator, House members, governor, or Congressman or US Senator will be.

Does ANYBODY think that the city would be running a voter registration drive if Carol Johnson or Leo Bernier were still calling the shots?

Spare me Ryan, Obama isn't illegally getting people to vote for him. You've heard "stories" from St.Anselm College. Come on! St. Anselm College students are residents of NH while they attend school here. So they're able to vote in NH.
I'm glad to be a voter in the state of NH.

How about that? A breath of fresh air from city government. The deputy city clerk being pro-active to save people time to vote on Nov. 4th. Way to go Matt Normand, an excellent proactive move from the city clerks office.

Wendy, I vote in every election as I am sure you do to. However, some people aren't as well informed and I feel better knowing they are NOT voting.
If we could do a better job of educating the public at large I would agree that it is everyone's duty to vote. The media and commercials are not the best source for information when making such important decisions.

Lets just make sure Obama isn't illegally getting people to vote for him as he did in the primaries through groups such as Acorn. I've heard stories of Obama supporters up at St. Anselm College convincing out of state student/residents to vote in NH rather than their home states because NH matters more. So someone from Massachusetts, just because they go to school here, can vote here in NH just for this election for Obama and then go back home and probably get away with voting again.
I'm all about getting new voters, but Obama has put a dark cloud over it during this election.
- Ryan Feltner, Manchester, New Hampshire
This is great! Every able bodied 18+ resident of NH should VOTE.
I can not understand how many people don't vote. It's free to vote. It's your turn to let government know how you feel, instead of complaining about it.
I'm glad I'm a voter!
