BOSTON - Updated, 10:45 p.m. What looked like a blowout at the beginning of the third frame quickly became a nail-biter, as Boston University registered two third-period goals, but Boston College managed to hold on for its second Beanpot title in three years, defeating the defending national champions 4-3.
BRENTWOOD - Maurice Buzzell was charged in the death of an employee who was struck by a falling tree.
MANCHESTER - A 13-year-old reported missing over the weekend was found late Monday afternoon in a Concord Street apartment, police said. Lindsey Young was reported missing Sunday, and was the subject of an "A Child is Missing" alert system that involved telephone calls to hundreds of city residents.
DURHAM - Perhaps University of New Hampshire President Mark Huddleston said it best last week when he described what's needed to execute the school's new strategic plan, which includes an audacious fundraising and building campaign. CONCORD - Updated, 2:24 p.m. New Hampshire authorities say the man who took hostages at Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign office in 2007 has cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet and is now a fugitive.
KEENE - Updated, 11:11 a.m. A police officer shot and killed Charles E. Turcotte after he repeatedly refused to put down an eight-inch knife he was holding to the throat of his ex-girlfriend who he had taken hostage in her own home.

GOFFSTOWN - Michael Murphy, the New Boston man at the center of a battle over guns between a Manchester firing range and the New Boston Police escaped contempt charges in Goffstown District Court on Monday, but was ordered to relinquish his hunting and concealed weapons permits.

MARLBOROUGH - Updated, 9:43 a.m. A Keene man is charged with drunken driving Monday night after his car struck two elderly ladies as they crossed Main Street following a Federated Church Ladies Group meeting, police said.
